Welcome readers and writers to our
online literary magazine!
The Spring 2026 issue of The Lemonwood Quarterly features eleven captivating short stories and plays that will make you laugh, give you chills, and and stick with you—provoking reflection long after the last sentence has been read. Read on!
The Lemonwood Quarterly is excited to present high-caliber stories and plays that delve into underexplored realms of human experience. We enthusiastically offer the reader literary gems that provide fresh and authentic portrayals of characters that —due to their age and gender— historically have been depicted in one-dimensional stereotypes, if included at all. Our contributing writers have long left behind the realm of the stereotype, and skillfully delight us with their remarkably crafted stories and plays.
We welcome and encourage submissions from writers of every gender, age, race, ethnicity, sexuality, and nationality —including writers without MFA degrees or previously published work, and whose perspectives might be underrepresented in the literary world.
